Festival of Birds: Beginning last week in April through the end of May. Point Pelee National Park. Offering a variety of bird watching events and programs. For more information on regional birding at local conservation areas and other "hot spots" contact Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island.
The Leamington Fair: Held Friday-Sunday the third weekend each June. The Leamington Agricultural Society presents its annual fair. Tons of fun for the whole family. Contact: 519-326-8082 for more information.
Migrant Worker Community Program hosts two summer cultural activities in Uptown Leamington on Queens Avenue. Summer Fiesta happens in August and Fiestas Patrias Festival happens in September. Call 519-325-0875 for information.
The Sip & Savour Experience: Every third weekend in August, Join us in celebrating everything local and see what Leamington has to offer at our 1st Annual Sip and Savour Experience.

What to Do?
Leamington and south Essex County area offer lots of great things to do and see. In the summer make a point to visit the famous "Big Tomato", Leamington's Tourist Information Booth, located next to the Arts Centre. The booth is staffed with knowledgeable volunteers and is managed by the Leamington District Chamber of Commerce.
The Leamington Arts Centre: 72 Talbot St. W. 519-326-2711. The Arts Centre hosts art shows and special events. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 12-4 pm. and Sunday from 1-4pm. Displays, exhibits and art shows.
The Bank Theatre and Meeting Place: 10 Erie Street South 519-326-8805. The Bank Theatre and Meeting Place is a community theatre that hosts quality theatre, dance and musical performances.
ErieQuest Marine Heritage Museum: Located in the Arts Centre at 72 Talbot Street West. ErieQuest houses the nautical history of the Pelee Passage with informative displays and shipwreck discoveries.
Point Pelee National Park: One of Canada's family of 40 National Parks. Enjoy hiking through the Carolinian forest on more than 10 km. of trails, canoeing along the Marsh Boardwalk, or picnicking on one of the park's many beaches.
Essex Pelee Island Coast (EPIC) Wine Country. The warm lake breezes and our southernmost location all contribute to exceptional vineyards come together in our unique region. Leamington is the gateway to Essex County's award winning wineries. Tour and taste and enjoy year round events.
Farmers' Market: Open every Saturday from 8 am-2 pm year round at the Leamington Fair Grounds. Fresh fruit, vegetables and home-goods from local producers.
Colasanti's Tropical Gardens: Located in Ruthven, Colasanti's has been a popular family destination for decades. Lots of fun for all ages and home to the annual Ruthven Apple Festival.
Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary: Founded by the father of Canadian conservation, the Jack Miner homestead welcomes thousands of migrating birds each spring and fall. Located on Gosfield Road 3 in Kingsville.
Heritage Village: Located on the Arner Townline in Kingsville, Heritage Village celebrates life in early Essex County. Features include the transportation museum, historical buildings and numerous displays. Pelee Island: For a quick get away to a quiet refuge be sure to visit Pelee Island. Great for hiking, biking and bird watching. For the latest ferry schedule visit Ontario Ferries or call 1-800-661-2220.
Conservation Areas: Essex County has several conservation areas of interest. Hillman Marsh and Kopegaron Woods are in Leamington. These naturally protected areas are great for hiking or biking
